Real Rum Experience is the creation of two seasoned rum enthusiasts who have been immersed in the world of rum for years through writing, tastings, and curated events. Brought together by a shared passion and long-standing presence in the community—through platforms like @ruminterest and @rumtheshow, we founded Real Rum Experience to offer inclusive, engaging, and educational rum events for everyone from curious newcomers to seasoned connoisseurs.
Our monthly sessions, held at Merchant House with up to 20 guests, go beyond tastings—we explore cocktail-making, rum pairings, and unique themes like “Agave vs. Rum.” We've proudly collaborated with top brands such as Appleton, Worthy Park, Barbancourt, Santiago de Cuba, and Black Tot, and welcome brand ambassadors to co-host or allow us to represent them. Our mission is to bridge the gap in rum appreciation and deliver genuine experiences that celebrate the spirit in all its diversity.

For over 5 years, I’ve been bringing private Rum tasting experiences into people’s homes and events, showcasing how incredible rum is and why it deserves the same respect as Cognac and Whisky.
A certified Rummelier with the Royal Rum Society, I’ve also trained bar staff, curated events both private and commercial, spoken at Oxford University, and consulted for rum brands. Big foodie and football fan repping the Invincibles. #COYG 🔴⚪️ Sharing the love of rum across the UK, one glass at a time.

Since living in Venezuela in 2005, rum has become a passion. I have had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the world’s leading rum brands, visit renowned distilleries and work at rum festivals and run events across U.K., Poland, Sweden, Germany and Colombia.
Now I get to share my journey with you, and through Real Rum Experience, help others explore the category and quench their rum curiosity.
